My name is Zoya, I’m a teacher of English and French at the secondary school (for pupils from 6 to 17) which specializes in foreign languages (English, French and German)and other school sectors such as Mathematics, Physics, History and some others. Our school is the best in the town ( Romny, Sumy region in the north-east of Ukraine)and well-known in our region and even outside it. It was founded in 1778 as a woman’s grammar-school and a founder of a national Ukrainian pedagogic based on love to God & Ukraine , G. Vashchenko worked here. So we have ancient and deep traditions . There is also a wide range of clubs(activities), such as : *Theatrical Club ‘Snowdrop’, *Sports Dancing Club ‘ Reverence’, *Dancing Club ‘Vision Dance’, *Carting, *Artstudio, *’Mukosol’ka’…
There’s also a school self-administration . Every 2 years the elections of the president of the Pupil’s Democratic Republic are held in our school & every year we have the elections to the Parliament which consists of 9 committees. 2 representatives of every form ( from the 5th to the 11th) participate in their work. In the end of September we have an election campaign & in October the elections following by inauguration are held.
This year we organized an Euro club at our school and we are searching for partners. Our pupils (as well as teachers=)) are very active and talented and they have a progressive thinking .They want to break the barriers between our youth and the EU.
